Beverly A JacksonBeverly A. Jackson is a poet, short fiction writer and artist living in the mountains of North Carolina. Her work has appeared widely in print and online. She formerly published and edited Ink Pot, a literary journal and founded Lit Pot Press, Inc. She was raised in a military family where alcoholism appeared to be protocol. She survived years of nightly martini rituals and knock-down Officer Club brouhahas. As a writer, she wryly feels grateful for a rotten childhood. In ACA (Adult Children of Alcoholics,) 12-Step programs, she finally found refuge from the solititude the disease can create for kids. During recovery, she sponsored many ACA-ers as well as sponsoring a couple of young alcoholics back to sobriety. Beverly's work has appeared in about 60 venues including Zoetrope All-Story Extra, Absinthe Review, Melic Review, In Posse Review, Rattle, Cadenza, and Smokelong Quarterly, to name a few.
