Emily Cogburn

Born in Minnesota, Emily Cogburn moved to Louisiana in 1999. She has master's degrees in philosophy and library science. Besides writing, she enjoys playing bass guitar in a swamp punk band, cooking with lots of butter, and taking care of her year-old son, husband, two cats, and dog. Her stories have been published in Phantasmagoria, Jubilee Anthology, Gris Gris Rouge, and Country Roads Magazine.

Truth and Consequences is very loosely based on some of Emily's experiences with dear friends in academia who struggle with alcoholism.
