Kelly says: In Had a Dad, my first story to appear here in Tom's Voice, I introduced a young adolescent named Justin. The ending of that story was, as I was told, disturbing. And since I tend to spend an unnatural amount of time worrying about people with addiction issues (fictional characters included), I couldn't leave Justin without at least a glint of hope that he'd overcome the inevitable I left him to face.
